The Legion of the Lost by Joseph John Lee
I was privileged to read an advance copy of The Legion of the Lost by Joseph John Lee and I can not recommend The Spellbinders and the Gunslingers series enough to anyone who I come in contact with.
If you thought that the Bleeding Stone and The Children of the Black Moon were amazing, The Legion of the Lost will blow your mind. I will proudly say this was the most powerful book that I have ever read.
The characters that Joe has created are relatable to everyday people in our lives. You feel like you know Sen, Tez, Artiz and Kamataa. You find yourself cheering in their victories and crying in their trials and tribulations. We have all shared in their journey of their lives and became beloved characters in our lives. Sen could be anyone of our sisters.
The world that Joe has created is unreal. You can feel yourself there and see the battles as if they were happening right around you reading these books.
I have sometimes found when reading trilogies that by the time you get to the last book you often wonder what is left to say, what will keep you interested in the story. This book was not like that. You are glued from the first page all the way to the end. I could hardly put the book down, that is how amazing this was.
Joe, I can assure you that this series will become a classic.
If you are looking for a series that makes you think, wonder about life and just looking for an amazing time, please pick up this series. My only take away is this, please make sure you have tissues close by. I still come to tears thinking about this book and the ending. There are not enough stars out there for this!!!
