THE FIRST BINDING: TALES OF TREMAINE

Burt

“There is a story behind everything and everyone-powerful tales, even if they don’t seem it on the surface. There’s power in stories, there’s magic in them. And each person’s life is a story itself, and with that, every person carries magic within them”

“Your most memorable and impactful reads are from books that chose you, not the books you choose”, Andrew Wizardly Reads.

Nothing is truer than that statement. I recently had a book in my TBR that I kept wondering about and if I wanted to move it up the list. I am so glad that I moved The First Binding by R.R Virdi to the top of this list.

To say that this book was incredible and left an impactful statement into my reading is an understatement. I will feel the powerful quotes that I have highlighted from this book will sit with me forever.

“There is a story behind everything and everyone-powerful tales, even if they don’t seem it on the surface. There’s power in stories, there’s magic in them. And each person’s life is a story itself, and with that, every person carries magic within them”

You follow the journey of Ari on the Silkroad. While he is the main character in the story, there are so many powerful side characters in this story. I truly enjoyed the Sparrows, who helped guide Ari on his travels and shared their wisdom with him.

You are hit with the poetry of this book, the imagery of South Asia culture. I felt like I was opened up to a whole new world and a new way of thinking.

You can tell that R.R put so much of himself into this book and the characters. You will be hooked right from the start. I do not think there was ever a spot in this book that I thought was overdone or did not belong. I could not put it down and found myself when I did try to put it down, wanting more. I am trying to sit and wait patiently for book two.

I have moved R.R into my list of, if he writes it, I will be in line to buy it.

If you have not yet read this book, I highly recommend that you do!!
